Bimbo Canada takes our responsibility to feed and nourish Canadians very seriously. As the Coronavirus pandemic continues to dominate the news, we want to reassure Canadians that our business is focused on the activities that are most vital to our business: baking and shipping fresh baked products that feed Canadians.
Our top priority is the safety and well-being of our associates, customers, consumers, franchisees, distributors, and the communities that we live and work in.
As one of Canada’s leading bakers, we continue to follow Good Manufacturing Practices. We have very strict food safety regulations in place and have adopted enhanced hygiene and sanitization measures in all of our facilities. We have also implemented public health’s guidance on social distancing.
We are also taking the appropriate steps to protect our associates and workplaces by limiting non-business critical associates in entering our facilities, increasing sanitation in associate areas, and increasing health protocols.
In the short-term, we are taking a strategic approach to inventory management and will focus on baking our best-selling products to increase productivity and efficiency in our bakeries to allow us to bake more products that will meet consumer demand.
Bimbo Canada is focused on delivering high-quality products that our customers and loyal consumers have come to expect from us. We encourage consumers to buy only what they need to ensure that our freshly baked goods are available to as many consumers as possible.
