Feeding Canadians with Purpose: A Conversation with Marie-Eve Royer

At Bimbo Canada, feeding families across the country is more than a job—it’s a calling. With 15 bakeries and 185 sales centres coast to coast, our team works every day to deliver fresh, high-quality products Canadians know and trust.

Marie-Eve Royer, President of Bimbo Canada, was recently featured in Grocery Business magazine’s Leaders on Leadership series, where she shared her personal reflections on what it means to lead in an industry that touches millions of lives every day.

Marie-Eve’s leadership is grounded in The Bimbo Way which guides our culture and is rooted in our commitment to put people first, lead with purpose and do what’s right. It’s about lifting each other up, acting with integrity, and fostering a workplace where everyone can grow and thrive, shaped by time spent in our bakeries, distribution centres, and stores.

“That’s where the heart of the business lives. You learn quickly that leadership is about service—lifting others up, listening deeply, and creating space for people to grow and shine.”

She also speaks openly about the importance of well-being and balance, especially in today’s fast-moving world.

“It’s not about perfect balance—it’s about being present where it matters most. Life doesn’t follow a strict schedule. Some days, work needs more of you. Other days, your personal life takes centre stage. And that’s okay. The key is being intentional with your time and energy.”

As Bimbo Canada continues to grow, Marie-Eve is committed to staying true to the beliefs that have shaped her journey: respect, empathy, and a belief in the power of people.

We’re proud to be part of the communities we serve—and to have a leader who believes that feeding Canadians, and caring for one another, is a responsibility worth showing up for every single day.
