Reducing our climate change impacts via energy efficiency is just one way we are Nourishing a Better World. This year, we’re celebrating the addition of our Laval plant in Quebec to our list of ENERGY STAR certifications (along with Nebo, Viau, St. John’s, Stonemill, Moncton, and Natural Bakery). Thanks to the efforts of our plant associates, we’ve achieved more ENERGY STAR certifications than any company in Canada, in any industry. Not only do we have seven ENERGY STAR Certified industrial facilities in Canada, our Hamilton and Viau plants have maintained certification for five years running, demonstrating continued operational excellence. Further, our Calgary and Moncton plants have previously achieved the ENERGY STAR Challenge by reducing their energy intensity by more than 10% in less than five years.
