Bimbo Canada has won a 2024 Canadian Grocer Impact Award for Sustainability for our bold steps in decarbonizing our business—not just through ambitious targets, but through tangible, impactful results.
Since launching our 10-year sustainability strategy in 2021, we have achieved:

21% reduction in direct (Scope 1) emissions since 2019.

Zero Scope 2 emissions thanks to our renewable electricity project investments.

Operation of 8 Energy Star-Certified industrial facilities, which is more than any other company in Canada.

American Society of Baking
Catherin Herrera, Director of Baking Technology, was recognized as an American Society of Baking’s Rising Baker of the year! The ASB Rising Bakers award celebrates young professionals who have been making outstanding contributions to wholesale baking, attained outstanding achievement, and contributed significantly to the profession.
Catherin was selected for her many contributions to Bimbo Canada and Bimbo Bakeries USA, where she demonstrated remarkable results and an innovative mindset by effectively implementing groundbreaking baking processes and contributing to the launch of noteworthy product innovations.
